Myspace Magazine - Anna Nicole’s Sister is - Well… Just Like Mommy

Tags:
@ 05:55 AM (16 months, 23 days ago)

For the most part, I’ve felt a great deal of sorrow for Anna Nicole Smith these past several months. Especially with how horribly she’s been disrespected by everyone she trusted, especially from the very people she should be able to trust. Now we find her sister, who’s in the ranks of mother, Virgie Arthur.

quote-picAnna Nicole’s sister Donna Hogan - same white-blond hair, industrial- strength eye and lip makeup, ample bosom, low-cut top, but drinking only Sprite - said:

“It pisses me off when people say I’m making money off her. I was offered fortunes to tell on her. I was there when she did liposuction in the ’90s. I have pictures of her lipo. Even though I needed money bad, I never sold her out.”

Anna Nicole Smith's Sister - Donna Hogan - PICSo, OK, so Donna, hon, so then why “Train Wreck,” your new book about and against Anna?

“Because I was hurt. Because it’s closure for me. Because now she’s gone, and things about her upsetted me. She was selfish. I always respected her, and she always disrespected me. I was struggling. I had to live in a shelter to protect my three kids and I never asked her for nothing. She had four houses and never offered me one to stay in. I bought her a Marilyn Monroe doll and she never bought me a thing. She’d take people who worked for her on shopping sprees to Rodeo Drive and never bring my kids anything.

She sounds like an 8 year old fighting over a Barbie®.

“She never once offered me money. Except to try and take my little girl from me. See, even after she had Danny she wanted a girl child desperately. She offered me thousands, but only if I’d give up my baby daughter to her which, of course, I wouldn’t.”

About their similarities: “Well, yeah, I’ve done drugs . . . we’ve both had a wild crazy life . . . both had affairs with women . . . three-way sex . . . kids without husbands . . . and I’m now kind of living with someone . . . And, like her, I worked gentlemen’s clubs. I waitressed. There’s perverts who just want you to get drunk with them. So I’d sit and drink. You could make $2,000 a night.

“Look, I was offered lots of the same kind of stuff she was, but I just couldn’t do it. I think she had some kind of illness. She did it with all sorts of girlfriends and gay boyfriends. I mean, she gave our father - who molested girls and actually touched me - naked photos of herself. This is a man who got married the day after we buried Vickie.

“And she never liked her given name Vickie. In school she’d call herself Nicky, so maybe that’s where Nicole came in.”

Donna Hogan lives in Houston. Her gift baskets business is called Country Delights. Monday was her first moment ever in New York. After dinner she saw Times Square. While asking could she squeeze in a musical like “Mama Mia!” or “The Color Purple” between the 17 shows she’s doing to hustle her book, I was asking her opinion of Howard K. Stern.

“I never believed he was the father of Dannielynn. He couldn’t create a child even if he had two [she used a colorful word to describe male equipment.] He’s not man enough. Anna Nicole Smith led him around by the nose. And can you believe his sister now has a publicist? And wants to be a Dr. Ruth-type TV sex therapist?”

And Donna’s opinion of mother-dearest Virgie?

“Virgie had more media than family at the funeral. Listen, Virgie used to abuse Vickie. Treat her bad. Hit her. When they started Virgie went with her to the strip clubs.

“I never took money from anybody. All the media companies followed me and harassed me and offered big money for my story. I never took a dime. Now, for the funeral and lawyers and traveling around, Virgie has a photo company paying. Howard’s bills are being paid by a TV show. Larry Birkhead probably has some deal, too.”

About larger-than-life Anna Nicole Smith, this sister says: “She actually had nothing. She was always broke. She lost her ranch. She was always getting sued. She went bankrupt. She lost everything. Her life really turned into a train wreck after Howard Marshall. She got depressed. She fought to keep her name alive. She’d suddenly do anything to stay in the spotlight, then the more she got in the spotlight the more she had to do to stay there. And when Stern came into her life she really changed. Everything went downhill.

“Y’know, because of our same father and different mothers, there’s others of us. Like another sister Amy, who’s into modeling and nobody really knows where she is because nobody wants anything to do with her.”

A bite into the Waverly Inn’s soft roll, a sigh about “I really have to lose weight,” and then . . . “I guess the dysfunctionality in our family goes way back.”

And: “I just never want Howard or Virgie to end up with that baby.”

Put it down to another of your usual humdrum ho-hum evenings of nice pleasant boring dinner-table talk. Only in New York, kids, only in New York.

"Every interview I do at the moment I'm getting asked how I feel about Amy Winehouse. It's starting to really piss me off. I really like Amy and am totally supportive of her. Why do people always try and play women off against each other the whole time? Yes, Amy and I are both English and yes, we're both in our early twenties. Why don't they [the media] try and create a feud between me and James Morrison or Amy and Paulo Nutini? Or why not create a rivalry between the boys. I think there is something seriously wrong with this part of our culture."

Sean Lennon Unfazed by Life in the Spotlight

Sean Lennon, who was only four when his famous father was murdered, says he knows of no other life than one under constant public scrutiny.

Lennon is accustomed to people recognizing him because of his famous parents. But one incident really caught him off-guard. Sean Lennon is accustomed to people recognizing him because of his famous parents, but one incident really caught him off-guard. “When I was 15, a cabdriver asked me if I was
Paul McCartney’s daughter,” the 31-year-old singer told AP Radio in a recent interview. “That really blew my mind.”

Lennon said he usually finds himself unfazed by all the attention he gets as the son of Yoko Ono and former Beatle John Lennon, who was killed in New York City in 1980. “I don’t have any perspective on a life without people freaking out about my parents, so I don’t know what it would be like for that not to happen,” he said.
“People only have glimpses of like, you know, who I might be and I don’t think people have a real sense of what I’m like necessarily,” he said. “I get the spoiled-rich-kid thing a lot and I get the serious-thing a lot, but I think people are misunderstanding me.”

Lennon, who is on tour in support of his latest album, “Friendly Fire,” prefers to be on the road. “I like playing music live for people because it’s the way music was meant to be heard,” he said. “We’ve only been recording music for a couple hundred years.”

“Normal” is a relative concept, really. I grew up moving all the time because my dad was in the Army and can’t imagine having lived in one place all my life. Still, I can’t imagine life without privacy.

Bam Margera, a married heterosexual, has a sick sense of humor.

The MTV reality star has a painted mural of former Nsync-er Lance Bass in his Pennsylvania home.

"There's a big portrait of Lance in an astronaut uniform, smiling broadly and holding his helmet proudly," says an insider. "In the background is a NASA shuttle ascending to space on a giant rainbow."

That space ship is headed to Uranus!

Sanjaya Malakar madness is sweeping the nation!

Perezzers doesn't have a TV at home and doesn't watch American Idol, but it's hard to ignore this marginally talented gay boy that everybody's talking about because he's so bad yet has manged to make it into the top ten of the singing competition.

We kinda think it's brilliant that there's this whole movement to "Vote for Sanjaya." How subversively delicious!

And EVERYONE really is talking about this kid.

Here are a sampling of some recent headlines:

- Sanjaya Malakar: Beloved, bemoaned

- Will Sanjaya kill "American Idol"?

- Pondering the mystery that is Sanjaya

- Sanjaya may be a false Idol, but don't tell that to his fans

- Poor Sanjaya, the 'Idol' finalist everyone loves to hate

- Will Sanjaya Malakar Win American Idol?

Denise Richards is being forced out of her tony suburban Los Angeles community by angry neighbors.

Nobody can stand that witch!

Some residents of her Hidden Hills gated neighborhood - home to Matt LeBlanc, Melissa Etheridge and Lisa Marie Presley - are fuming because they claim that Richards invited paparazzi into their community to take pictures of her with her kids, reports the new issue of Us Weekly.

"You live in a gated place to avoid photographers," says one angry neighbor.

A few the disgruntled have "banded together" and want her to move, says an insider.

At daughter Sam's March 10th birthday party, Denise's ex-husband, the normal (by comparison) Charlie Sheen, was overheard saying he was glad the day was paparazzi-free.

"He'd be furious if she called the photographers," says a source.

Good riddance, we say. She should leave Hidden Hills and the state of California too!

Important Tips of Fashion Style

Tags:
@ 03:44 AM (17 months, 20 days ago)
The term fashion usually applies to a prevailing mode of expression, but quite often applies to a personal mode of expression that may or may not adhere to prevailing ideals. Inherent in the term is the idea that the mode will change more quickly than the culture as a whole. The terms "fashionable" and "unfashionable" are employed to describe whether someone or something fits in with the current popular mode of expression. The term "fashion" is frequently used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour and style. In this sense, fashions are a sort of communal art, through which a culture examines its notions of beauty and goodness. The term "fashion" is also sometimes used in a negative sense, as a synonym for fads, trends, and materialism.

Fashion Tips

Make sure your wardrobe has plenty of neutrals on hand - they are perfect for mixing and matching. They can be dressed up or down with the right jewelry additions

Not a one of us woman has the perfect figure. We all have flaws. Accept your flaws and work with them

Know your body and what looks good. You are logically attracted to clothes, styles and colors that flatter your figure. Experiment a bit, and try something a bit off your normal habits

Tailored outfits are flattering to most all figures

Buy styles that flatter your figure and don't forget that finishing touch with your jewelry

To make a short neck look longer wear a sccop neck or open collar shirt, complete the look with a long necklace

Large breasted women and women with wide hips can optain balance by using shoulder pads

Make sure your panty hose fits properly

Don't bare all - leave something for the imagination. Entice with your a glittery necklace or choker, and don't forget the earrings

Leather stretches so if you're buying a leather skirt or pants make sure they are snug when you purchase them. There are also some fabulous faux leather products on the market that can give you great wear for a season or two without having to worry if they'll still fit next year

Dress up your look with glittery jewelry, accent a line with a necklace. Don't forget your earrings and bracelets. They add the finishing touch to your look. You can completely change your look just by changing your jewelry. Dress it up or down!

Your jewelry is the same. That fabulous designer parure that costs way more than you can afford - your certain to find a similar in an online store for much less. Clip the picture and keep it with you so you can match

Set your budget and stick to it. Purchase plenty of mix and match pieces to get the most for your money. And don't forget to complete your look with jewelry.

Myspace Magazine - Fast Fashion Facts

Tags:
@ 04:55 AM (17 months, 23 days ago)
Flashback! Nearly four decades back - lifestyle fashion stores were all the frenzy in the sixties where clothing retailers like Biba and Habitat offered great collection for the young consumers. They displayed model lifestyles lines and made buyers think "which one is better for me?" Most clothing retailers joined the league for the up and coming era of seventies like Marks & Spencer and Mothercare followed by the major player 'Next' in the eighties, which were largely preferred.

Meanwhile, the major Italian player 'Benetton' marched on high street with, offering colorful designer clothing for the whole family. Their strategy resulted affirmative with noticeably contemporary window showcase in all stores with independent units. The company was successful in Britain, however, having a long standing in the market, they witnessed failure to keep up pace with the accelerated high fashion pressure by the other European competitors, which are now the known as Mango, H&M and Zara.

The rise of these competitors on high street has been witness successful because of a higher demand for fast fashion. Styles showed in magazines and other advertorials are what people wish to wear. Top designers have created collection extensions, which cater people who can afford to spend their hard earned cash on triple figure. This resulted success to the affordable collection of European fashion brands

A Swedish player, H&M offered readymade clothing stores stocked with fashionable collection at reasonable costs. Its successful strategy was its own slogan 'fashion & quality at the best price' innovative design, reasonably priced and competent logistics. Based in Stockholm, a team of 100 fashion designers assures that nothing has been imitated from the runway platforms. They are mostly inspired from street-trends, movies, magazines and exhibitions. Impressively, the designs reach retail shelves within 2-3 weeks. H&M's high profile designer tie-ups with Karl Lagerfield and Stella McCartney have resulted entire collections available to the mass people at lower prices. This strategy is supported by huge advertising campaigns, which easily compete with the major brands.

In a world of advertisements and promotions, there is one store that has made strategy to not to spend penny on advertising, "Zara", a wing of Europe's biggest, rapidly evolving and most triumphant fashion clothing retailers, Grupo Inditex. Other well popular stores in similar chain are Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Pull and Bear. Inditex operates business via more than two thousand stores in 56 countries. The first Zara shop was launched in 1975 at La Coruna, Galicia and at present it operates more than four hundred owned stores globally. In the previous five years they have witnessed sales up by 25 percent year on year.

Zara runs its own design and production unit in La Coruna, Spain, which leads cancellation of the large out-sourcing operations, like H&M does in over nine hundred firms. It is modern, offering up-to-date lifestyle yet standard clothing lines for men, women and children. Zara offers reasonably priced, radical clothing, however, not of the top quality, which will last only for some seasons.

As same as Zara, H&M can also put designs on retail shelves within three weeks. Its product assortment is cheap and small yet frequent, offering consumers huge selection that results repeated visits to their stores to find "What's New". Hitherto, Zara has launched over ten thousand new designs and most of these will just be attainable for few weeks.

Another Spanish player, Mango is a reputed multinational brand devoted to designing, producing and selling fast fashion and accessories only for women. Its clothing line includes Suit, Casual Sport, and Mng Jeans. It might not be as huge as H&M or Grupo Inditex, but has played excellent particularly in the UK.

No shopping malls resemble absolute with exclusive of these three brands. The pace of these companies in responding to changing consumer demands is an ideal proof to the retailing, producing and logistics skills needed in latest fashion industry. These new strategies are set up to develop aptitude to take advantage of the challenges of a competitive world market.

Besides the diversification in product assortments there is one thing common in all these brands that is "intelligent logistics". Well-organized communication between sales staff directly to the headquarters and producers lead them to match steps with high speed turnover.

The fact is that buyers are becoming preference savvy and smarter in order to what they shop. Even though they always have their preferred designer, they are also acquainted that a throwaway piece of fast fashion from a retail chain store will complete their outfit choices. At so reasonably priced all of these retail perceptions play on Friday nights when people feels they have nothing to wear.

Retailers are sent in a scuffle to make-out the major catwalk trends from the drawing sheets to the sales shelves as fast as possible.
