We couldn't think of a better way to kick off our first night in Austin than with Miz Beth Ditto, the most bad-ass woman in rock 'n' roll.

Our flight arrived in Austin at 11:45 PM on Thursday and we went straight from the airport to Emo's to catch The Gossip's show.

To say that they were on fire is an understatement.

Beth Ditto is like lightning in a bottle. Pure concentrated fierceness!!!

If you have yet to discover the awesomely awesomeness that is The Gossip, then we highly suggest you CLICK HERE to check out some of their songs.

We got to meet Beth after the gig and she was just as sweet as warm apple pie. She also told us that she loved this.

We thought it was pretty funny too!

After The Gossip gig, we headed over to the Blender party, sponsored by Absolut.

We got our drink on for a bit, and then we headed to the Playboy party.

No, it's not totally random! Perez is in the new issue of Playboy.

For real.

The one with Mariah on the cover. Check it out!

And check out The Gossip.

See you around Austin!

Copy Hilary Duff's London outfit

Tags:

Hilary%20duff.jpg Hilary Duff's recent trip to London has been a lesson in how starlets should behave. Take note Lohan, Hilton, Spears et al. Life is much better if you smile prettily, don't fall out of a car drunk and most importantly, look fabulous at all times.

Promoting her new album, Dignity, she's looked cute throughout her Brit trip and this little ensemble is a perfect example of how she does casual chic. So like the dedicated blogger that I am, I've put together a similar look which probably costs less then her Marc Jacobs bag alone...

Gloomy outfit pick

Tags:
@ 04:16 AM (18 months, 7 days ago)

outfitmini.JPGFrom what I've seen on the catwalks so far autumn/winter is going to be a sombre affair, so dust off your Nick Cave, Tindersticks and Depeche Mode records and sit out summer in my gloomy outfit. The uniform overtones of the ticking pinafore add a dour edge to a cute shape, team with patent wedges for femme fatale chic. A metallic parka is dressy, while adding a modern edge and an elegantly quirky purse completes the outfit. See after the jump for a full-sized picture and product links.

Mod/jumble style outfit

minioutfit.JPG I saw this dress in Oasis today and I really wanted to try it on. I love the russet and black combo (brown and black is my new obsession) and the cute fitted shape. As soon as I saw these lace-ups (lace-ups are my 2nd new obsession) I knew they'd look good with the dress. I know they're probably not to everyone's taste but the little dashes are the best. I'm bored of teal in a big way but this coat is blue enough to hold my attention, with a slight metallic sheen to keep it subtly up to date. I'd turn the preppiness up a notch with this tartan tote, the mesh pockets keep it casual. Coordinate/clash with Candy Says' Barbour hat which picks out a lot of colours from the outfit. See after the jump for a full-sized picture and product links.

Team Party Crash: David LaChapelle's 'Heaven to Hell'

Tags:
@ 09:17 AM (18 months, 11 days ago)

Now that Britney and Lindsay have retired from crotch shots, it's time someone filled the unwanted nudity void. And who better to do so than incredibly overexposed trannie Amanda Lepore and her rock hard nipples? As punishment for their sins, we sent Intern Stephanie and the one-and-only Nikola Tamindzic to Taschen's SoHo store where photographer-music video director-celebrity loverboy David LaChapelle and his favorite shemale gal pal autographed copies of his most recent collection, Heaven to Hell. View our gallery here or Nikola's here.

A mob of hipsters wearing red fishnet tights or black leggings took up an entire block on Greene Street. The line wrapped the corner to Prince Street. Immediately, Amanda Lepore had a nip slip. That's probably not an issue for her.

The Taschen store is a bizarre combination of Urban Outfitters and Alice in Wonderland. So. Many. Bright. Colors. The DJ was on pop songs from the early 90s.

Dave LaChapelle lip-synched "Hot in Here" by Nelly while the freaks and geeks in line looked at each other with bewilderment. Up next were two *N Sync songs: "Bye, Bye, Bye" and "Tearin' Up My Heart." Dave took a break from signing to do the "Bye, Bye, Bye" dance.

The after-party resembled the cafeteria of "Mean Girls." The cool Asians hovered in the corner. The desperate wannabes danced to "Billie Jean." The burnouts alternated between staring at the desperate wannabes, their RAZRs, and their drinks. After someone started square dancing to "Don't Stop Movin" by S Club 7, it was time to carry our four-pound Taschen books home.

Dave signed mine, but his handwriting is impossible to decipher. Hope he said something funny. Or nice. Like a high school yearbook. BFF. Something.

At midnight, Ms. Lepore was seen at 14th Street and Seventh Avenue, perhaps leaving Plumm. She was all in white, and escorted by what looked like three fellas from Staten Island. Of course she was!

Tesco dotted Swiss smock top

I love dotted swiss (see detail, above), which is why although I'm getting a bit bored of smocks I'm coveting Tesco's pretty blue tie front smock. Only £15 and the tie front is pretty handy as every time I wear a smock or sack dress at the moment my mum tells me I look pregnant and it's kind of hard to explain to relatives how volume is big (literally) at the moment. You can't buy online yet but there's a store directory to let you know where your nearest Tesco's is. I'd wear this with white city shorts and sandals in the summer, but for now team with slim or skinny grey trousers, canvas shoes and a warm but lightweight dove grey parka.

Jimenny made a rare red carpet appearance together last night!

The couple hit the Los Angeles premiere of Carrey's new film, The Number 23, sporting matching bobs.

Jim has recently said that he's very happy with McCarthy but that the two plan to never marry.

But if they did, hopefully he'd spend less time in hair and makeup than her!

Anna Had Recent Surgery

Tags:
@ 11:26 AM (18 months, 23 days ago)

Anna Nicole Smith with Danielynn tattooMSNBC's Rita Cosby reports that Anna Nicole may have had recent breast surgery to repair one of her implants.

Cosby also reports the former Playmate had also been prescribed over 10 different types of pain medication, and may have been taking excessive amounts because she developed a tolerance to the effects.

In addition, Cosby's sources tell her that Anna Nicole was found by a member of her staff -- unresponsive and nude in her bed, with a sheet pulled over her face.

Death from cosmetic plastic surgeries occurs in one out of 57,000 cases, per the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Two million plastic surgeries were performed in the United States in 2005.

Adverse reactions to surgery could become serious; there are numerous documented cases of seizures, heart attacks and high fevers leading to death. Recent published research shows that inflammation caused by common respiratory and urinary tract infections like bronchitis, pneumonia and cystitis, may contribute to in increased risk of heart attack and stroke, and the greatest risk is in the earliest stages of infection.

If Anna did have a recent cosmetic procedure, and she exhibited "flu like symptoms" over the last few days, it's quite possible that the star died of a massive infection, perhaps complicated by an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

FALL 2007 FASHION WEEK NOTEBOOK ¦ CABBEEN

Tags:
@ 01:31 PM (18 months, 25 days ago)

Key Takeaways: As the first designer from Mainland China to present at New York Fashion Week, Mr. Cabbeen shows us just how funky, modern and colorful Chinese fashion has become.

Photo Credit: Omiru: Style for All

Wearable everyday bombers in twill and nylon were paired with carefree trousers and jeans and laid-back black trainers with painted or embroidered embellishment. Fabric choices ranged from plaid to chevron to pinstripe.Color Palette: A rainbow of colors ranging from the requisite grey, navy and black to pale yellow, maroon and army green. Colorblocking and plaid fabrics featured prominently in the collection.Silhouette: Relaxed on top with long and lean hoodies and tanks paired under comfy jackets and casually fitted pants and jeans. Accessories Report: Scarves and striped ties adorned the necks of most models. Most also sported black trainers or roll-top ankle boots in neutral colors. What’s Wearable: For the guy with a bit of fashion-funk, we recommend the robin’s egg blue jacket with cherry blossom embroidery to catch the eye of any lucky lady (or lad). What’s Not Wearable: If it’s over 20 degrees where you live and the sun is shining, steer clear of the oil-slick inspired puffer jackets so as not to blind innocent bystanders.
